FAQ

Q: Why isn't my device supported?
A: Let me know and I can probably add support for it.

Q: How do I get the bootloader into my device?
A: You need to use an ordinary pic programmer such as the ICD2 or any cheaper third party programmer.

Q: Is native USB supported?
A: No.

Q: Is USB supported using a USB<->RS232 converter?
A: Yes.

Q: Is ethernet supported?
A: No.

Q: What is the advantage of using a bootloader?
A: A bootloader usually allows software upgrade with cheap or generally available equipment such as a rs232 port, as opposed to an specialized and expensive equipment such as an PIC programmer. Write time might also be lower with a bootloader

Q: What are the disadvantages of using a bootloader?
A: A bootloader occupies some program memory and adds some boot-up time.
